About Our Beautiful Lucy

Lucy was an 11-year-old girl living in Southern California with her parents, older brother and her puppies Pearl & Pirate. She was an avid softball player that loved being active and cheering on her teammates. Don’t let her athleticism fool you though, you never caught Lucy with a bad manicure or without an awesome glitter ball of homemade slime. Lucy was smart, sassy, funny, loving and caring, all rolled into one.

In October 2019, Lucy came down with a cold/flu. Since it was the fall, she was kept home from school with the thought that her sniffles were a common cold. Slowly, the pesky cold turned into headaches and slight disorientation, prompting Lucy’s mom to call the doctor for an evaluation.

Unfortunately, Lucy was then diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) and has been a brave warrior battling the disease. From day one, Lucy has not allowed DIPG to dim her light — she’s kept us united in prayer through her love of God, classic rock, sports… and of course, “The Office.” We’ve seen her push through her physical therapy as she tried to regain strength in her body, endure an countless number of MRIs and meds, all with an insurmountable amount of resilience, style and grace.

Lucy gained her angel wings on September 30, 2020. However, her parents will continue to fight for DIPG awareness and continue fundraising to help find a cure.

We’ve put this website together to show Lucy and her family solidarity with our support through our positive vibes, prayers, donations, and most of all, awareness of DIPG. To learn more about how DIPG affects our youngest and most vulnerable, click here.

We thank you for taking the time to look and read through this website!
